On January 14th, 2025, the People’s Official Plan Coalition submitted a statement to the Planning and Housing Committee demonstrating our support for the development of a renoviction by-law in Ottawa. This statement comes in response to Councillor Troster’s call for a renoviction by-law, to which staff replied that this was unnecessary. POP’s submission followed the lead of the Federation of Citizen’s Associations and the Alliance to End Homelessness, who are both members of POP. Check out the statement below:
